Utf-8 locale migration tool
utf8migrationtool is a wizard that simplifies upgrading a Debian system towards UTF-8 locales.
First it updates the login configuration (in ~/.dmrc) so the default locale uses UTF-8 encoding, then it checks every filename under the user's home directory and converts it to UTF-8 if needed. Note that it only affects filenames, not file contents.

utf8migrationtool is run from the Desktop Environment's menu.
