Convers client for amateur radio

Usage

xconvers [options]

Overview

This manual page documents the xconvers program. This manual page was written for the Debian GNU/Linux distribution because the original program does not have a manual page.

Xconvers is a split screen terminal program under X. After connecting a convers server the top section will display the server's response. You can type in your text in the bottom line. There is a possibility to record the server text into a file. Connecting to a server can be done after starting the program or through the command line.

Options

-c channel

Channel to connect.

-s host:service

Connect to host at specified port number.

-p personal_note

Send a personal note after connecting. This is used in older convers servers.

Remarks

Xconvers was originally written as a client to connect to the convers server shipped with wampes. With your help I can change this program into modern convers client. Please send your comments/wishlist to the xconvers maintainer: [email protected].

The application defaults file is in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/app-defaults.
