wnsectsearch(3)

wnsectsearch3

Cgi program for searching files for sections for wn http server

Usage

wnsectsearch pattern file [file] ...

Overview

wnsectsearch is a perl(1) CGI program that is part of the wn(1) HTTP server package. wnsectsearch searches file and produces a document consisting of those sections of the file containing a match for the regular expression in the environment variable QUERY_STRING (see http:/doc/wn/appendixD.html). A new section is determined to begin when a line matching pattern is found.

The matching text is prefixed by <dl> and postfixed with </dl>. This can be modified by setting the values of the variables $prefix and $postfix in the perl(1) program. They must be quoted.

wnsectsearch is intended as an Index Search Module of wn(1) (see http:/doc/wn/module.html). This requires that the Search-Module directive be set in the appropriate index file (see http:/doc/wn/appendixB.html). For example:

  Search-Module=/usr/lib/cgi-bin/wn/wnsectsearch pattern file
