wavr1
Record a wave audio file
Synopsys
wavr [ -f filename ] [ -r samplerate ] [ -d sampledepth ]
[ -c numchans ] [-s l | m | c ]
Overview
wavr will record a PCM encoded wav file from /dev/dsp. The sample format, length and source of the recording can all be supplied at the command line. If a mixer program is running, it can be used to set the recording source and volume levels of that source. Without arguments, wavr will output a short message describing its usage.
Options

Uses filename as the name of the recorded wave file. The default is untitled.wav which will be used if -f is not given.

44100,22050,11025,8000
-
-d sampledepth -
Uses sampledepth as the number of bits to use for each sample. Valid values are
16, and8.

-
-s m|l|c -

l= line,m= mic, andc= cd-rom. If a mixer is already running, it can be used to specify recording source and volume levels.
