View a .hex font file with a graphical user interface

## NAME

unifont-viewer - View a .hex font file with a graphical user interface

## SYNOPSIS

**unifont-viewer** &

## DESCRIPTION

**unifont-viewer** reads a GNU Unifont .hex file and displays glyphs in blocks of 16 by 16, 256 glyphs per screen with a graphical user interface.  The .hex file is selected by opening it with the **File \> Open** menu item or by typing Control-O.  After loading a file, a list of "pages" of 256 glyphs will appear in the left-hand column of the window.  The first such page of glyphs in the file will appear in the main window.

**unifont-viewer** supports glyph heights of 16, 24, and 32 pixels.  The height of a .hex font file is selected under the **File** menu.  The default selection is **Glyph Height 16.**

Exit **unifont-viewer** by selecting **File \> Exit** or by typing Control-X.
