tcpconn1
Open tcp connection
Usage
mserver [-p
port]
[-d
pty]
host
[:port]
Overview
The tcpconn program included here was a quick hack, so don't expect much from it. It simply opens a TCP connection to the specified host:port and relays all traffic from stdin back and forth. An option allows traffic to go to a pseudo-tty instead of stdin, thus allowing programs that would open eg. /dev/ttyS? to use the TCP connection without having to modify them.
Options
-
-p PORT -
connect to TCP port PORT (default PORT value is 8500)
-
-dPTY -
open pseudo-tty PTY instead of stdin (if PTY is unspecified, tcpconn automatically allocates one, prints its name to stdout, and goes to background)
-
-eCHAR -
enable CHAR to quit tcpconn when pressed (default Ctrl-\)
Examples
- $ tcpconn -e dunwich:8500
-
connects to port 8500 on machine dunwich.
- $ cu -l `tcpconn -d kadath:8501`
-
connects to port 8501 on kadath and makes the connection available on a pty slave device. then use cu to chat over the connection.
