stdinxout(1)

stdinxout1

Cross-connect two programs' stdin and stdout

Usage

stdinxout prog1 [args1..] -- prog2 [args2..]

Overview

stdinxout runs the programs prog1 and prog2 with their respective arguments and connects prog1's standard output into prog2's standard input, and vice versa. Both prog1 and prog2 standard error outputs go to the standard error of stdinxout.

Restrictions

Neither prog1 or any of args1 can be exactly the characters "--", as this is used for separating the programs.
