Overview
rxsock is a socket library for regina(1)
RxSock's interface is compatible with the one provided by IBM with OS/2 and with Object Rexx for Windows. See http://www2.hursley.ibm.com/rexxtut/socktut1.htm for a description of the API.
The differences between this RxSock and the one provided with OS/2 4.0 are listed in the file difference.os2.
RxSock can be used in one of two ways. The first is to run a rexx script as an argument to rxsock, optionally with the command line switches described below.
The more common usage is to load the rxsock function package with the Regina built-in function RxFuncAdd() (the second SYNOPSIS example.) Note that the rexx script must be invoked with /usr/bin/regina and not /usr/bin/rexx.
Options
-
-i -
Accept RxSock commands from stdin.
-
-d -
Run in debug mode. Mainly used when diagnosing a problem.
-
-v -
Run in verbose mode. Mainly used when diagnosing a problem. Parameter values passed into a function and result information are traced. Also values of Rexx variables set by RxSock are traced.
-
-f -
File in which output from -v and -d is dumped. By default trace output is dumped to stderr.
