The Pound configuration file that Pound should manage, for example "/etc/pound.cfg".

(unique, required, string, no default)

Override the name of the instance that should be given to Pound (defaults to the resource identifier).

(unique, optional, string, default "RESOURCE_ID")

Write the process's PID to the specified file. The default will include the specified name, i.e.: "/var/run/pound_production.pid". Unlike what this help message shows, it is most likely not necessary to change this parameter.

(unique, optional, string, default "/var/run/pound_RESOURCE_ID.pid")

This is used to start Pound server. Normally use pound.

(optional, string, default "pound")

This is used to watch Pound status via Unix socket. Normally use poundctl.

(optional, string, default "poundctl")

Write the process's Unix socket. This parameter is same 'Control' parameter in configuration file, i.e.: Control "/var/lib/pound/pound.cfg".

(optional, string, default "/var/lib/pound/pound.cfg")

Determines how many files pound is allowed to open at a time. Helps to fix the 'Too many open files' error message.

(optional, integer, no default)

Starts the resource. Suggested minimum timeout: 20s.

Stops the resource. Suggested minimum timeout: 20s.

Performs a detailed status check. Suggested minimum timeout: 20s. Suggested interval: 10s.

Performs a status check. Suggested minimum timeout: 20s.

Retrieves resource agent metadata (internal use only). Suggested minimum timeout: 5s.

Performs a validation of the resource configuration. Suggested minimum timeout: 20s.
