marlais(1)

marlais1

The marlais dylan(tm) interpreter

Usage

marlais [-d] [-h] [-n] [-s] [-p] [-v] [{-e <expression> | init-file ...}]

Overview

This manual page documents briefly the marlais command. This manual page was written for the Debian GNU/Linux distribution because the original program does not have a manual page.

marlais is the Marlais Dylan(TM) interpreter. It directly evaluates programs written in a variant of Apple Computer's Dylan programming language.

Each of the specified init-files must contain Dylan code to be evaluated before the interpreter begins its read-eval-print loop. If errors occur during load of the init-files, the interpreter will terminate its execution.

Options

-e

Execute a Dylan expression, print resulting value, then exit.

-s

Stay in interactor after executing an expression or file.

-n

Suppress loading the system default Dylan init file.

-p

Do not show continuation prompt for incomplete expressions.

-d

Generate parser debug output.

-h

Print help menu.

-v

Print version number.
