# m-tx(1)

This script processes mtx files then deletes intermediate files

## NAME

m-tx - This script processes mtx files then deletes intermediate files

## SYNOPSIS

\[ texlua \] **m-tx\[.lua\]** { *option* \| *jobname* \[ .mtx \]  } ...

- The default effect is to process each file using

  - [**prepmx**(1)](/man/prepmx/1.md)

  (pre-pre-processing pass)

- [**pmxab**(1)](/man/pmxab/1.md)

  (pre-processing pass)

- [**etex**(1)](/man/etex/1.md)

  (first pass)

- [**musixflx**(1)](/man/musixflx/1.md)

  (second pass)

- [**etex**(1)](/man/etex/1.md)

  (third pass)

- [**dvips**(1)](/man/dvips/1.md)

  (dvi to Postscript)

- [**ps2pdf**(1)](/man/ps2pdf/1.md)

  (Postscript to Portable Document Format)

- followed by removal of intermediate files.

  ## OPTIONS

- **-v**

  output program name and version number, and quit

- **-h**

  output usage summary and quit

- **-l**

  changes the TeX processor to [**latex**(1)](/man/latex/1.md) or [**pdflatex**(1)](/man/pdflatex/1.md)

- **-p**

  changes the TeX processor to  [**pdfetex**(1)](/man/pdfetex/1.md) or [**pdflatex**(1)](/man/pdflatex/1.md) (and doesn't run  [**dvips**(1)](/man/dvips/1.md) and  [**ps2pdf**(1)](/man/ps2pdf/1.md) or [**dvipdfm**(1)](/man/dvipdfm/1.md) )

- **-d**

  changes the dvi processor to [**dvipdfm**(1)](/man/dvipdfm/1.md)

- **-c**

  use pmxchords before pmx

- **-F fmt**

  uses fmt as the TeX processor

- **-s**

  stops processing at the dvi file

- **-t**

  stops processing at the tex (and midi) files

- **-m**

  stops processing at the pmx file

- **-i**

  retain intermediate files

- **-f**

  default processing

- Options affect processing of all succeeding mtx files unless changed by another option.
