# gt-milestone-edit(1)

Edit a milestone

## NAME

gt-milestone-edit - Edit a milestone

## SYNOPSIS

**gt milestone edit \<milestone\> \[flags\]**

## DESCRIPTION

Edit the title, description or due date of a milestone. Without flags on a terminal, a form starts from the current values.

### ARGUMENTS

```
A milestone can be supplied by its title, such as "v1.0", or by its ID. A number is an ID
first, then a title; --by-name matches it as a title only.
```

### JSON FIELDS

```
closed_issues, description, due_date, id, open_issues, state, title, url
```

## OPTIONS

**--by-name**\[=false\]\
 	Match a numeric argument as a milestone title rather than an ID

**--deadline**=""\
 	Due **date**: YYYY-MM-DD, RFC3339 or Unix timestamp; only the date counts, as the end of that day in UTC; empty clears it

**-d**, **--description**=""\
 	Milestone description

**-F**, **--description-file**=""\
 	Read the description from **file**, or - for stdin

**-e**, **--editor**\[=false\]\

**-h**, **--help**\[=false\]\

**--host**=""\
 	Gitea instance **URL**, including any base path

**--interactive**\[=false\]\
 	Allow prompts with machine output

**-q**, **--jq**=""\
 	Filter JSON output using a jq **expression**; implies --json

**--json**\[=""\]\
 	Output JSON with the specified comma-separated **fields**, or all fields

**--no-input**\[=false\]\
