Gnome-based overclocking utility for matrox g400

Usage

gmgaclock

Overview

gMGAclock is a GNOME-based overclocking utility for Matrox G400 cards. The original clocking code was stolen from Brad Grantham's mgaclock.c but has been heavily changed.

Greetings to Mark Vojkovich who created the original g400 registry dump code for linux and was extremely helpful in desperate times. :)

Note: If you overclock the board with the custom preset, make sure you check the clock settings too and set the dividers appropriately. If you don't know how just stick with the presets.

Features

* Supports multiple cards

* 5 Presets

* Custom preset that allows you to set the clock speed manually

* Automatic registry calculation from given clock speed

* Automatic clock speed calculation from given registry values

* Individual settings for GCLK/MCLK/WCLK

* Saving and loading of settings

Options

gMGAclock uses standard GNU/GTK command line syntax and is GUI based. Just for setting presets you might use this option:

-l --load <FILE>

Load settings and exit

Note

You have to be root to use this program!

Authors

gMGAclock is created and maintained by Joonas Makkonen <[email protected]>. This manual page documents briefly the gMGAclock and has been written by Zdenek Kabelac <[email protected]> for the Debian GNU/Linux distribution (but may be used by others), because the original program does not have one.

From gmgaclock 0.4.8-2.1 in Debian 3.1 (Sarge). Parsed by carta from the page's man source.
