checker {g++ | -g++ ...}

checker {-v | --version}

checker {-p | --path}

Overview

checker is the standard way to compile your programs with Checker debugging support. Under Debian GNU/Linux, please read /usr/doc/gccchecker/README.Debian for more details. In addition, please see Texinfo document `checker' for further details on the use of Checker.

Options

The checker program accepts the following command line syntax. Only one of the following can be given on each execution.

gcc ...
-gcc ...

Invokes gcc with the appropriate options for compilation with Checker.

g++ ...
-g++ ...

Invokes g++ with the appropriate options for compilation with Checker.

-v
--version

Display Checker's version.

-h
--help

Display help for checker command-line options. Also displays information on options accepted by programs compiled with Checker in the CHECKEROPTS environment variable.

-p
--path

Display paths used by checker to find the gcc and g++ binaries.

Bugs

Checker dramatically slows down program execution, so it is strictly for debugging.
