execute_dmachinemon1
Example script to start up dmachinemon daemon
Usage
execute_dmachinemon [temporary
port
number]
[server
port
number]
[master
node
ip]
Overview
Starts up dmachinemon daemon on each cluster node using dsh
Options
- temporary port number
-
The port number used for communication internal to the dmachinemon system.
- server port number
-
The port number that the daemon listens. Client programs will be able to obtain information from that port number on the master node.
- master node IP
-
The IP address of the master node.
Notes
Requires a properly configured dsh program to start up the daemon on every node.
This program uses dmachinemon-servent and uses up a lot of resource. On some systems with large number of nodes that exceed about 40, it might not be feasible. Try configuring a system to boot dmachinemon-servent in another way instead, like trying to execute it hierarchically.
This example script is given as an example, and is most likely that this script will not work on large installations.
