## SYNOPSIS

**device** **dcons\_crom** **device** **dcons** **device** **firewire**

## DESCRIPTION

The **dcons\_crom** exposes the buffer address of [dcons(4)](/man/dcons/4.md) through the Configuration ROM of [firewire(4)](/man/firewire/4.md). This address is supposed to be used by [dconschat(8)](/man/dconschat/8.md).

## SEE ALSO

[dcons(4)](/man/dcons/4.md), [firewire(4)](/man/firewire/4.md), [fwohci(4)](/man/fwohci/4.md), [dconschat(8)](/man/dconschat/8.md), [fwcontrol(8)](/man/fwcontrol/8.md)

## AUTHORS

Hidetoshi Shimokawa ⟨simokawa@FreeBSD.org⟩

## BUGS

If you load *dcons\_crom.ko* manually after the system is booted, you may have to initiate a bus reset using “**fwcontrol** **-r**” to update the Configuration ROM.
